Houghton Lake Tip Up Town
is recognized as one of the premier winter attractions for outdoor enthusiasts. This years event is the 58th in the towns history. Whether you are snowmobiling or strolling through the streets of Houghton Lake, you'll find yourself right in the midst of cold weather enthusiasts who are diverse and friendly alike. Many come from other States to enjoy the camaraderie and carnival like atmosphere that is prevalent throughout the area.The festival organizers have successfully succeeded at promoting and preserving the appeal of the annual event. The key to success is the community involvement from hundreds of volunteers who donate many hours of work.
Each year, droves of veteran and first-timers descend upon Tip-Up Town and participate in the many events such as Horseshoes on Ice, Poker Runs & Ice Fishing contests.

This years Houghton Lake Tip-Up Town will be held on consecutive weekends beginning Saturday, January 19th & Sunday, January 20th. The following weekend dates of Saturday, January 26th & Sunday, January 27th will be the second weekend for the 58th Annual Tip-Up Town.
