Michigan Fall Color Petoskey/Charlevoix Route

is a splendid route and offers many vacation stops along the way.

Autumn in Michigan

offers spectacular beauty with the changing leaves.  A must see is Fort Michilimackinac.  A National Historic Landmark, Colonial Michilimackinac is accredited by American Association of Museums.  Just East of the Mackinaw Bridge is the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse.  If camping is your desire, Mackinaw State Park, Wilderness State Park, and Fisherman's Island are nearby.  Continue West toward Lake Michigan and visit the quaint towns of Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs. The Tunnel of Trees is a must drive to see the Michigan Autumn Fall Colors.  The 20 mile stretch on M-119 is a favorite among Autumn visitors.  If gambling is your passion, visit the Little Victories Casino near Petoskey.  There are also many Michigan Bed and Breakfasts to visit during your Michigan vacation travels.
